[There's a small girl hanging around one of the courts with a basketball, trying and failing to get it in the hoop. Completely wrong form, yeah. She seems a bit annoyed at the entire thing, glancing around embarrassedly now and then, but she has to practice; damn P.E.]

[Overall though, she takes it in stride, running around after the ball if it bounces away, maybe into another court- sorry about disrupting your game. Every once in a while she takes a break, having some water and then sitting tiredly on the concrete.]

[One of those times the ball gets away from Elaine, Ryohei's there to pick it up. He smiles at her as he holds it between both hands.]

Yeah but it's not helping very much. [She sulks just a little bit.]

I think you're doing okay. [He passes the ball back to her.] You just need to work on your form.

If I had any to begin with. [She catches the ball, tucks it soldily under one arm.] Sports never interested me.

Sure. [She passes it back.] It's more like I need it.

[Ryohei catches the ball easily and smiles at her.] Everyone needs help when they first start to the extreme.

[He comes closer to stand near her, demonstrating as he speaks.] Hold the ball up like this, not in both hands. And push it off with your wrist. You can't aim if you try to throw it from your elbow and shoulder.

[He demonstrates. He's not GREAT at basketball, but he's a good enough athlete to have picked up things like this. The ball hits the backboard and goes into the hoop.]

[She watches, then retrieves the ball. With a glance at him she tries it herself, though her form's still slightly off. She can't help but use her elbows a little, and the ball sails too high.] Mm. Better than last time?

Yeah, I think so! [He jogs after the ball and tosses it to her.] Try using your wrist more, though.
