Hi, everyone. Merry Christmas. [Elaine's hovering several feet above the Mansion roof, giving you a nice view of the snowy grounds and decorated Mansion behind her. She grins at the camera, her wings spread wide and beating slowly.]

Someone mentioned stockings, I think. Mine had a marble. [She holds up the little black gleaming marble, about an inch in diameter. After a brief moment where she seems confused, she puts it away.] It's my grandmothers. After they died, they became something like this. I don't think it's them, just... what's left of them.

[She smiles again, but it's a bit forced.] Merry Christmas, everyone. If you want to fly today, just say so. The air is fresh, and I'm more than willing to carry you.

...Mhairi is snowing today. [And that turns her smile entirely genuine.]

[Seeing Rei glance at the brownies, she holds them forward again.] Brownies, in case they don't look like them. [She grins.] I don't know how to make these, so... I just thought I'd try.

[ooc: pfffff I think Rei never mentioned this to Elaine, and I might have forgotten to tell you that Rei can't eat most solid foods because of when the Major tried to turn her into a vampire.

I uh. Guess the mashed potatoes from before weren't too solid for her to keep down? XD;; But if she eats the brownies, she'll probably throw up.]

[Elaine looks a bit expectant, but when Rei doesn't say or do anything, she just sighs and looks a bit let down.] You're welcome. I'm sorry they didn't come out right. I'll get you something else, maybe.

[It takes Rei a moment to register Elaine's reaction as disappointment, and another to realize that there was something she was supposed to do there.]

[She picks up one of the brownies and takes a bite. She doesn't think a little solid food will make her terribly sick.]

[Rei chews and swallows carefully. Her expression remains neutral regardless of the actual taste of the brownies.]

[They taste slightly too heavy and burned. Not much subtletly involved, but at least they're recognizable as brownies.]

[Rei sets down the brownies and moves to get a coat. Because obviously Elaine meant RIGHT NOW.]

[Elaine smiles and goes for the closet, bringing out a coat as well.] Have you been outside at all? Wait... are those reindeer still there?

No. [A pause.] I don't think so.

[She pulls on a coat. It never snowed much in Tokyo-3, so she hasn't really ever experienced winter like this.]
