[Minato then headed out of the Mansion to get to the forest where Elaine would be waiting.]

[He'll be able to find Elaine by the sound of burning and trees falling.]

[She stood in the center of a clearing she had made. Trees had fallen away from her, and they lay like lines radiating away from an axis. Anything she couldn't really push, like shrub or weeds, she had set on fire, in a way that burned faster than normal. Streaks of charred leaves and ash surrounded her.]

[As for Elaine herself, she was drenched in sweat, her hair and clothes clinging to her skin. She was doubled over, already tired.]

[... Okay, it's very obvious now that Elaine was the one causing the damage to the forest since she stated that she would be there. The forest would repair itself, but no, he also hadn't expected there to be that much damage either.

Once he was closer, he saw her in the middle of that clearing along with all the destruction. Despite the damage that he could only assume was from some sort of power she had, he rushed over to her.]

Elaine... What happened?

I was making a clearing. [Her breath came in a gasp. She looked up at him with a meaningful glance. Yes, she was making a clearing. She was also tiring herself out, draining her power. Making things easier.]

[She pulled warily at her hair, tucking it behind her ear, standing straighter.] How do we do this?

[Minato glanced around at the burned trees, the smoke, everything that had apparently been affected by something she had done. Something with fire. But he thought he would soon find out.]

As long as we attack and not hold back, it should be fine.

[<sub>Jack has totally missed this post, because he was on his way to Elaine's room at the time of posting, his single piece of candy clutched in the palm of his hand getting sticky and gross. Moving softly, he bends and slides it under her door.

[She's tired as hell after fighting. But she's feeling better, not so sick anymore. The bed felt too inviting as she sat on its edge, trying to will herself into taking a shower, losing, when she sees the candy roll under the door.]

[She's too tired for a moment for it to register properly. But when it does, she rushes to the door, ignoring her aches, sweeps up the candy and forces herself to concentrate on the trail that her visitor left behind, an old trick she knew from childhood.]

[She rushes down the hall, and too bad for you, Jack, she has wings.] Hey!
